Patch 1.8 of Throne and Liberty not only brought a number of issues to the live servers of the MMORPG but also a nice surprise for all those eager for set armor pieces.
What is this surprise? After the release of patch 1.8 on November 21, 2024, some players of Throne and Liberty were surprised to find that enemies from the Abyss dungeons could suddenly drop armor pieces from sets that can activate strong bonuses.
Via X, the officials from Amazon Games explained over the weekend that this is not a bug, but rather an undocumented adjustment. Specifically, the developers state:
We have seen feedback that certain set bonus equipment was being dropped by Abyss mobs, which was not the case before. Some players feared this was a bug or an exploit. We want to confirm that this was indeed an intended change.
As with all updates, we will continue to listen to your feedback and make changes that we believe will provide the best long-term benefit and player experience. Over time, we will be adding both new types of equipment as well as new methods to make older equipment more accessible.

Great surprise after the recent problems
How does the community react? Some players are pleased with the surprising adjustment. Matthew Garbett writes on X, for example: “Until now, it was far too difficult for casual players to obtain purple gear, so this is a welcome change.”
However, many more MMORPG fans are complaining about all the issues that have recently occurred or have been troubling for some time. The adjustments for healers and tanks are particularly criticized, who are having major problems in the new 2-star dungeons. Many players also complain about missing loot in guild raids, bugs in the Syleus dungeon, the current performance, and much more.
