In the MMORPG Tarisland, the developers have challenged you to show them how quickly you can level up a character to the maximum level. The answer: shorter than half an episode of Scrubs.
What kind of competition was that? While the developers of Tarisland are working on the content for the new Season 1, competitions are currently taking place in the MMORPG. This time, the developers challenged all players to level up characters as quickly as possible to the maximum level.
As a reward, a code awaits, which players can redeem for premium currency in the game. Now the winners and their best times have been announced, and the best times exceed all expectations.

All tricks are allowed
How fast were the players? When the results of the competition were published on the official Tarisland Discord server, some players were quite astonished. The top time to level a character from level 1 to level 40 was achieved by several players in under 10 minutes.
The fastest player is named Beastyboy and reaches level 40 in just 09:31 minutes as a hunter. For comparison: An episode of the witty cult series Scrubs usually lasts 22 minutes. So the player didn’t need even half an episode for the speedrun. However, he didn’t achieve that completely alone.

How are such fast times possible? Leveling in Tarisland doesn’t take much time, but usually it takes longer than just 10 minutes. The speedrun is only possible thanks to some tricks.
Starting with the tutorial, which is skipped directly, players head to the cave to Jeya. Then they follow the short introduction. It gets interesting from the point where you enter the village.
Using the so-called ghost stairs, built by another player for you, saves time to reach the quest area. The other player can also pull together some wolves and hit them so that they can be dealt with faster.
You return via teleport. After that, you always strictly follow the story. In the first dungeon, you make use of immortality and quickly rush into battle.
An important skip occurs during the journey to Silver City, this area can be quickly skipped by selecting the second dialogue option with Lorne in front of the ship. This way, you go from level 9 straight to level 26.
After another story area, you simply let friends invite you to a dungeon where the final boss has only a few hit points left. A few hits later, you’ve already reached the maximum level.
Is that allowed? The players are not using forbidden methods to level up. On the contrary, the developers even praise the teamwork of some groups in their announcement of the winners and call them talented.
The speedrunners likely did not use cheats to quickly reach the maximum level. All the tricks they used can be replicated. However, there are probably enough cheaters in Tarisland.
