In Pokémon GO the event “Last Resort” focusing on Keldeo’s transformation starts. Additionally, there are more contents.
When does the event start? “Last Resort” starts on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The event ends on Sunday, November 30 at 8:00 PM.
How do you change Keldeo’s form? The transformation of Keldeo is the highlight of the event. With “Last Resort,” the final part of the special research “Stories of Transformation” will be unlocked, which has not been active until now.
From this point on, it is possible to transform your Keldeo, which you have already caught in the special research, into the “Resolute Form”.
For this, you only need 50 Keldeo candies. Choose your Keldeo, use the 50 candies, and transform your Pokémon. You should get the candies through the special research if you haven’t already spent them. Otherwise, use Keldeo as your buddy and walk with him to earn candies, or use rare candies.
Once you have transformed Keldeo, it will learn the special charged attack “Mystical Sword.” The Mystical Sword deals 70 damage in trainer battles and 120 damage in raids and gyms.
Can Keldeo be shiny? The Keldeo from the special research cannot be shiny. However, a shiny Keldeo will still be introduced in the game. The event brings a new masterpiece research that will eventually reward a shiny Keldeo.
But: The masterpiece research is only available via a ticket that you can purchase for $7.99 (similarly priced in euros) in the shop. On top of that, the masterpiece research takes a long time and involves difficult tasks. It will take a while to obtain the shiny.

Bonuses in the Event “Last Resort” in Pokémon GO
The following contents are active:
- There is an increased shiny chance for Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop, they appear in the wild
- Hisui Sneasel and Crabrawler also appear in the wild
- You receive two additional free raid passes daily by spinning gyms
