Blackbeard competes with Luffy for the One Piece and is thus one of his worst enemies in One Piece. Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, previously drew the family of the pirate.
What does the family look like? In the 8th issue of the magazine on One Piece, Oda revealed several sketches of Blackbeard’s family members. The images show not only the mother of the pirate but also his 2 little sisters:
Both the mother and his two little sisters look very different from the rugged pirate, who is pursuing his own dark plan. The two sisters are said to be polite and friendly, and the mother has a broad, friendly smile on her face.
The mother is drawn in more detail than the two sisters. She is wearing a buttoned blouse and a wide-brimmed hat. Only the face and part of the upper body of the two sisters are visible.

Blackbeard’s family could still appear in One Piece
When will they be shown? The sketches are early concepts for Blackbeard’s family. It could be that the idea surrounding the family was discarded and they no longer appear in the anime and manga.
However, it could just as easily be that Oda still holds onto the idea of showing his sisters and mother. Below, next to the sisters, is a shocked face of Ace, Luffy’s brother.
It is possible that Ace has already encountered the sisters. We might get to see in a flashback how Blackbeard’s time on the ship of the Whitebeard pirates was, where he lived with Ace in a crew.
Since Blackbeard’s background story has not yet been shown and he is one of the main candidates for the One Piece, he will probably still play a significant role in the future.
Who is missing? However, it is still unclear who Blackbeard’s father is. Many fans suspect (via Reddit) that Blackbeard’s father is the notorious Rocks D. Xebec. He was involved in the God Valley incident, where numerous well-known characters like Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp crossed paths. It is possible that Oda deliberately did not draw Blackbeard’s father as he will have an even bigger appearance later on.
