Publisher MY.GAMES and the developer studio Booming Tech are launching the new Season 7 of the PC MMO Conqueror’s Blade. In this season, you will deal with Vikings who will allow you to further improve your hero using runes.
What’s new in Season 7? After Season 6 Scourge of Winter, Conqueror’s Blade remains true to the North. Season 7 Wolves of Ragnarok brings new Viking units. With these, it is possible to assemble a whole force of Nordic warriors. The units include:
- Shieldmaidens – Flexible fighters who can quickly switch between shield as well as sword and spear. Spears are helpful against mounted units, swords offer more striking power. Several shieldmaidens can form a shield wall as a defensive formation.
- Berserkers – Lightly armored but heavily armed melee fighters who prefer thrust attacks with two double axes.
- Sons of Fenrir – A group of fanatics that relies on speed. They are so fast that they can even attack targets from a distance with a special unit formation.

The three classes are already being discussed in the community (via reddit). They offer some interesting features that players are looking forward to. This includes the storm ability of the shieldmaidens, which allows them to charge at their opponents under the protection of their shields.
What’s in the new season: Also new in the medieval MMO is the runes system. This allows you to enhance your character using runes. You can equip these runes in your gear. They serve as an addition to your weapon skills and your playstyle. You unlock new runes based on your season level. They will reset at the end of a season.
The runes system is also being discussed among the fans of the MMO. An additional way to improve the character with runes is highly interesting for players, as it could shake up the meta of the classes and bring fresh air (via reddit). This could make classes that were previously rather weak more interesting again. However, players hope that this new system won’t lead to balancing issues.
Furthermore, you can immediately put your new Viking units to the test on another large battlefield and use them against your opponents.
What does the Battle Pass offer? Also included is a new Battle Pass. This contains over 100 exclusive seasonal rewards. These include cosmetic items inspired by Nordic legends and myths that will definitely make any Viking fan’s heart race.
Nordic band Heilung provides the soundtrack
What else is interesting? In the two trailers for Season 7 of the MMO Conqueror’s Blade, you can hear extraordinary music. This is from the Nordic band Heilung. The singing is in Old Norse, inspired by the Völuspá – a prophecy of Ragnarok from the Poetic Edda.
The band was founded in 2014 by Kai Uwe Faust and Christopher Juul from Euzen. Singer Maria Franz joined later. You can hear the two songs Galgaldr and Alfadhirhaiti in the trailers.
