Along with Season 4, a new item has sneaked into Call of Duty: Warzone, which few players might have expected, but many will likely celebrate. It’s a new weapon that you can’t just find.
What kind of weapon is this? In Warzone, there is now a minigun. Yep, this over-the-top bullet spewer, which you also use when you are in the Juggernaut suit from the (second) highest killstreak.
The minigun is one of the probably strongest weapons in Call of Duty – possibly even the strongest weapon that you can carry yourself and isn’t vehicle-supported. And now it’s available in the Warzone.
Since the huge update for Season 4 on June 11, you can find this awesome weapon. Unlike other weapons in Warzone, it isn’t just available from crates or in the shop. You first have to make a lot of phone calls and ideally be able to speak Russian.
New Weapon in Warzone: The Minigun
Where can I find the weapon? The minigun is actually quite easy to find. It is located in one of the bunkers that are scattered all over Warzone. Specifically: in Bunker 11, in the northern part of the map, northwest of Military Base.
Inside the bunker, you will find two of these super weapons. They are leaning against the wall to the left in the room through the second door on the right, near the secret blueprints.
However, unlike some of the other bunkers, you cannot simply open Bunker 11 with the red keycard. You first need to solve a whole series of tasks.
This is how you get the minigun: To access the bunker, you first need to find a phone on the map. There are several, but only one of them is the “correct” one. This map shows you where you can find the phones:
You will know if it’s the right phone when it starts ringing. Approach the phone and interact with it to receive a series of numbers – but in Russian.
You need to decipher these numbers and then activate additional phones in the correct order. In our guide to enter Bunker 11, you will find a detailed description of all the phones, translations for the numbers, and a visual guide.
How powerful is the weapon really? So far, we haven’t tested the minigun ourselves. However, players who have already found it say that it corresponds exactly to the Juggernaut’s weapon.
It likely won’t be overpoweringly powerful in terms of damage per bullet, but the sheer volume of bullets it spits out should be able to mow down entire squads.
It comes with 320 rounds of ammunition per weapon – enough to heat up multiple enemy teams and likely outclass even the strongest weapons in Warzone. We can’t say exactly how high the TTK is, but if you manage to get your hands on a minigun, you should use it. If not – arm yourself with sniper rifles and don’t get too close.
