The YouTuber Max “HandOfBlood” Knabe (30) is known for his entertaining videos. In a video about a new horror game on Steam, he addresses a serious topic, but the fun is not neglected.
What kind of game is this? Parasocial is the latest horror game from the Japanese indie studio Chilla’s Art. Players take on the role of a female streamer who is stalked by an intrusive fan – a real nightmare scenario for many Twitch female streamers.
The game has been available on Steam since August 26 and is recommended by 95% of players. For €7.79, you can also get spooked. Additionally, you can watch HandOfBlood on YouTube as he faces the stalker. It is as entertaining as usual, but with serious undertones.
Viewers praise the mix of entertainment and education
How does HandOfBlood manage that? The YouTuber takes neither the game nor himself too seriously. He portrays the role of the female streamer with a pink cat-ear headset and ironically comments on the sometimes somewhat adventurous video game logic.
At the same time, he points out the serious topic. HandOfBlood reports that the story of the game is by no means pure fiction. In fact, there have already been several such cases, as depicted in the game, also in the German influencer scene.
