World of Warcraft is currently plagued by some bugs and issues. However, one of them is partially due to your guild.
In World of Warcraft we are currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of the MMORPG, but not everything is going smoothly. First, Blizzard had to multiply the rewards for activities after major complaints, and then new bugs emerged that made it uncomfortable for raid fans to even embark on adventures. Lags and disconnects plagued many players – the culprit is one of the major new features of The War Within.
What’s happening in World of Warcraft right now? Since the major anniversary patch 11.0.5, some things in WoW are not functioning as they should. Particularly in raids, there are often smaller and larger issues. Many groups report that when starting a boss fight, several characters are suddenly kicked from the game – they experience a disconnect. At the same time, others report that there seems to be frequent lag in raid instances.
Many thought this was due to interface addons, but the reason was different.
What caused this? While not all problems causing the disconnects are known yet, the lag has a curious cause – namely the war horde and the associated resource transfer. If someone in your guild uses the resource transfer from one character to another, it can lead to latency issues (via wowhead).
When will Blizzard fix this? Last night, Blizzard had already disabled the resource transfer for several hours to fix some issues with it. Whether this truly eliminates the source of all problems will likely reveal itself in the coming days when the next groups set out to clear the Nerub-ar Palace or the Blackrock Depths.
However, there are also problems in many other areas, especially in World of Warcraft. Some portals are not functioning correctly, auto-looting is faulty, and some boss mechanics in raids are simply invisible. This needs urgent improvement – preferably not just with the start of the next patch 11.0.7.
