Everyone has probably encountered a terrible loser in a race in GTA Online. If you’re one of those who can’t handle losing, you should be ashamed. Players despise this behavior.
Who are the losers in question? A clip from a motorcycle race is currently drawing attention in the GTA Online community. The uploader titled the clip “I despise people who do this.” The short video showcases a type of loser that we have all seen before.
This is what the video shows: You see a rider on their green motorcycle completing a lap on a racetrack. The track is elevated, with edges where players can fall off.
After a few seconds, another player appears at a narrow point on the map, positioned sideways on their motorcycle. They probably wanted the rider in the clip to fall off the map. When that didn’t happen and the rider stayed on the track, the player on the yellow motorcycle tried to ram them off. But that also failed.
The rider of the green motorcycle was able to pull ahead and pass the player on the yellow motorcycle. But that’s not the end. Due to the catch-up mechanic and the slipstream, players can easily catch up to those in front. Thus, the yellow player hits the green one in a turn and kicks them off the map.

Why should one feel ashamed?
Here’s the point: Sure, GTA Online offers PvP, and you should compete against each other and be able to take hits. But waiting around for a round and ruining the race for others should not be an option. Once you realize that other players are much better than you, you have options:
- You can finish the race with dignity and try to learn from others
- If you’re super frustrated, you leave the race without bothering others
Because actions like those in the video give you no advantage. You often ruin the race for other players. And that often resembles griefing. And when griefers embarrass themselves, thousands of players in GTA Online laugh about it.
What do other players say about this? The creator of the reddit thread explains that he despises people who do such things. The behavior of the yellow motorcycle rider is actively discussed in the comments.
