POSTFROST
The indie developer Keyplay Studio is working on its first MMO, which welcomes you to a frozen wasteland of the post-apocalyptic world.
To ensure your survival under these harsh winter conditions, you must work together with friends and face the dangers and your enemies together.
As the game is still in development, there may be changes before the release, but here are already some of the known game features:
- Teamwork and communication play a significant role in sharing tasks and facilitating survival
- A dog as a companion is included for each player
- Customization options for your character and dog for the best gear and individual looks
- Encounter various dangers like constant temperature drops, hunger, or looters on your path
- Mutated creatures and rival groups represent your enemies
- Constant changes in the environment such as weather, animal migrations, or cold waves that deplete resources and destroy the world
- Cities serve as a resource source and offer shelter for many factions with their own rules
How you secure your survival in this world and with whom you choose to navigate this path is entirely in your hands.
When will it be released? Currently, the developers are hoping for a release in late 2024 but honestly state that they, as an indie studio, cannot promise anything. You can already add POSTFROST to your wishlist via Steam.
ONCE HUMAN
Once Human is a multiplayer survival game set to be released on Steam in an open horror world. In this post-apocalyptic world, everything has been infested by an alien creature called Stardust and has changed in bizarre ways.
You manage to harness the power of Stardust to secure your survival.
The following game features of Once Human are already known:
- Not everything edible is safe to eat. Contaminated food and water can harm your health and reduce your maximum HP.
- Fight numerous enemies and face bosses from another dimension.
- Obtain important items from battles to alleviate the Stardust contamination.
- Craft a weapon after approximately 100 weapon plans and seven categories, and constantly adapt your weapons to your new needs.
- Utilize the area core to build your own house. From a small cabin for all important things to a city villa with a garage and terrace, there are no limits here.
- You have the option to relocate your house again and again.
Once Human looks like an interesting multiplayer game because the world presented to us in the trailer is definitely bizarre but worth another look.
When will it be released? The release is announced for the third quarter of 2024. However, a beta has already been announced for winter 2023.
BLUE PROTOCOL
Blue Protocol is a free MMORPG developed by Bandai Namco. This game allows you to become the hero of your own personal anime adventure, where you seek the truth of your origins. An unavoidable event that decides the fate of the planet Regnas will stand in your way on this journey.
Blue Protocol promises you many features that can make a good MMORPG:
- Action-packed battles with a system that adapts to your playstyle, suitable for both beginners and advanced players.
- Customize your character with a selection of faces, hairstyles, clothing, and accessories.
- Find your weapon and mount and also customize these according to your own ideas.
- Team up with other players to complete quests and defeat bosses.
- Engage in massive online raids against gigantic monsters.
The trailer shows a good mix of interesting video segments and gameplay scenes, indicating that Blue Protocol could be particularly worthwhile for anime fans.

EARTH FROM ANOTHER SUN
Earth from another Sun is a strategy MMO that will be released on Steam, where you explore the galaxy alone or together with other players. During this, let your empire grow, build a trade network, and fight alongside your armies to conquer the galaxy. Once you rule everything, you can reshape the galaxy according to your desires.
Earth from another Sun has already announced the following features:

SKY: CHILDREN OF THE LIGHT
After Journey, thatgamecompany is now bringing a peaceful MMO to Steam that aims to warm your hearts and promises to be a social adventure game. Sky: Children of the Light takes you into an open and friendly world where everyone is welcome to spend a quiet time together.
