The Galar birds have been featured in Pokémon GO for almost two years now. However, they remain surprisingly rare to encounter – still. This is something MyMMO author Max Handwerk also had to realize. How is it for you?

This is how many Pokémon GO players still feel today as they search for the legendary Galar birds Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. They debuted in July 2022 in Pokémon GO, almost two years ago.
The special thing is: They only appear when you use the daily adventure incense. So sometimes. Maybe.
Unfortunately, you can’t influence whether, when, and where they actually appear when you use the 15-minute incense. You have to rely on your luck.
And even if some players have had incredible luck catching Galar birds: Others are still searching for them in vain.
Moreover, the birds have a damn low catch rate with very high escape potential, making them one of the most sought-after targets for the Master Ball.
But you first have to find them.
I want to throw the Master Ball, but where is the bird?
I am also missing the birds in my collection – all three. Since their introduction, I have encountered Galar Articuno twice, Galar Zapdos once, and exactly zero times for Galar Moltres.
I couldn’t catch any of them. Also, because the Master Ball simply wasn’t in my collection at that time. I had decided when the Master Ball was released: As soon as I encounter a Galar bird again, I will use the Master Ball.
Since then, I haven’t seen any more. Not a single one. Despite using the adventure incense multiple times, and even during the extension through the Dialga adventure effect, I didn’t encounter any of the three again.
But well. I guess it just means waiting and making sure not to accidentally throw it at a Wurmple or something.
