In Monster Hunter Wilds, the main focus of the game is on the armor and weapons. In the endgame, there are special versions that are currently among the best variants of each weapon type. However, many players refuse to use these weapons, and that is due to their appearance.
What are Artian weapons? Later in the main story, you unlock the so-called Artian weapons. These are special weapons for which you do not need monster parts, but rather special materials that you can obtain from quests involving hardened monsters.
Every Artian weapon has a different blueprint. However, you can modify the Artian weapons, influence the elements, and even upgrade the weapons. Therefore, they are currently among the best weapons in the game if you want to play an optimal build.
But that is not enough for many players. They refuse to use the Artian weapons because they find them ugly.

What does the community say about the Artian weapons? There are now several posts on Reddit that perfectly show what part of the community thinks about the Artian weapons. One of the largest Reddit threads with almost 14,000 upvotes is even titled: I don’t care how good they are, I’m not using them.
There are many users who agree with the thread creator and even demand new features:

Hunting Horn also offers several useful non-Artian options. Rathian and Congalala are excellent and very easy to craft.
- ParasiteFire (via Reddit) has a favorite apart from the Artian weapons:
I use Lala Barina until the expansion, it looks so good and paralysis is great for everything.
Among the comments, there are also users who like the design of some weapons. Tomocha01 (via Reddit) praises, among other things, the design of the hammer and the great sword.
Are the Artian weapons really the best weapons? When looking at the various top builds, the Artian weapons are usually shown as the top choice. Upgrading, modifying, and choosing the element make the Artian weapons quite powerful.
Nevertheless, many other weapons are also good and useful. The Lala-Barina weapons with high attack speed are quite easy to craft, but still good because paralysis is strong against most monsters. The Gore-Magala weapons are also strong versions with very high damage.
Since Monster Hunter Wilds is not a PvP game, you can also just use the weapons you feel like using. With most weapons of rarity 7 and 8, you will do well against the monsters.
