What kind of games are in the Humble Bundle?
The games are primarily typical, classic point-and-click adventures in retro style. Here you can engage with mysteries, uncover puzzles, and experience thrilling stories.
In “Unavowed”, for example, you are confronted with a dark, dystopian world. A year ago, you were possessed by a demon and caused a lot of suffering and damage yourself. Now you want to join the “Unavowed” and fight against the darkness.
In the 5 Blackwell games, on the other hand, you need to prove your detective skills. You investigate mysterious deaths, roam the streets of New York, and deal with ghosts of the past.
In “Technobabylon”, on the other hand, you go into the future, to the year 2087. Here, “Trance” has largely replaced human interactions, and an AI has taken control of the city. The studio’s debut “The Shivah” is also included in the bundle, as well as “Strangeland” from the year 2021.

Since Monkey Island and Broken Sword, point’n’click games have a special place in my heart. As a fan of these adventures, I can recommend the bundle to anyone who sees pixel graphics as a plus and not a deal breaker.
Especially the Blackwell series has captivated me: lovable characters, a coherent story that spans all 5 titles, and of course classic point’n’click detective work paired with the supernatural. Like many games of this kind, you get what you make of it: If you take the time to explore the scenes and want to find everything, you can spend some beautiful hours on it.
An additional highlight of the bundle is Unavowed. Here, it clearly shows how far the studio has come in the years since Shivah and Blackwell Legacy. The tone is a bit more mature, the visuals are nicer, there are interesting characters, and multiple endings. If you’re mostly interested in crisp puzzles, you might be disappointed. The focus is on the story, which is definitely worth it.
