In the space MMO EVE Online, the war World War Bee 2 has been raging for 13 weeks. Now the largest battle so far has taken place, which consumed around 17,000 euros in resources during the first act. But it will get even more expensive.
What kind of battle was it? The Imperium launched an attack on a so-called Keepstar of the PAPI coalition in the FWST-8 system on October 5. Almost 7,000 player accounts participated in this battle. The alliance was determined to destroy the space station.
How did the battle go? The forces of the Imperium were outnumbered. PAPI was able to motivate around 500 more pilots. This led to 250 Dreadnoughts being sacrificed on the part of the Imperium.
But ultimately the Imperium succeeded and was able to destroy the Keepstar in a massive fight.
An expensive battle
How much did the fight cost? The battle consumed resources worth more than 970 billion ISK in-game currency. That’s about 17,000 euros. However, the entire war World War Bee 2 has already burned significantly more resources.
What happened after the battle? After the Keepstar was destroyed, another one of these battle stations was sent out on October 6. A battle broke out again in the FWST-8 system. The fight lasted an entire night. In the early morning of October 7, the Keepstar was ultimately destroyed.
The costs of the second battle amount to around 1.8 trillion ISK, which corresponds to about 21,000 euros.
How is the entire war progressing? The World War Bee 2 has now been going on for 13 weeks. More than 298,000 ships have been destroyed in total. The total costs of the war have now amounted to more than 24.9 trillion ISK. That translates to about 380,000 euros in resources.
It should be noted that this conversion is merely for illustration purposes. The players of EVE Online have earned most of these resources over years and have not purchased them with money. The amount only indicates what these resources are approximately worth.
