The registration for the Beta of World of Warcraft: Classic is running. We will tell you how to participate.
Blizzard has released some information about World of Warcraft: Classic today. In addition to the announcement of the official release date of WoW: Classic, there was also the indication that there will be extensive beta tests. However, you need to register separately for these beta tests.
How can I participate in the Beta for WoW: Classic? The registration for the Beta of Classic-WoW is quite simple and can be done in just a few steps:
- Log in to your Blizzard website with your account
- Select your account in the top right corner and go to “Account Settings”
- Scroll all the way down and click on “To Beta Profile Settings”
- Check the box for “World of Warcraft Classic” and confirm by clicking “Update Preferences”
Now you are registered for the Beta and can, with a bit of luck, participate in the various testing phases.
When does the Beta start? The first start of the beta test for World of Warcraft: Classic is already on May 15, 2019. Then the first players will be able to log in to the beta servers. However, the number of players at the beginning will be small and will be increased over the weeks.
Stress tests for particularly many players: Besides the general beta, there will also be a number of stress tests with which Blizzard wants to push the limits of the server technology. For these tests, there may be certain restrictions, such as a level cap or a restriction to certain areas of the game world.
The previously announced stress tests will take place on the following days:
- Wednesday, May 22 – Thursday, May 23
- Wednesday, June 19 – Thursday, June 20
- Thursday, July 18 – Friday, July 19
Registration does not guarantee participation: Blizzard notes on the website that registering for the beta does not guarantee that you can participate. Other factors will be taken into consideration, such as how long a player has been a subscriber, to ensure a healthy mix of different player groups to provide the most diverse feedback possible.
