Why it’s worth unlocking the Blue Dot sights in MW2
Can’t the reticle just be adjusted? No, that is no longer possible in the latest Call of Duty. The new gunsmith in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 allows you to customize many details of your loadout to suit your needs.
However, you can no longer customize the appearance of your reticle.
At least you still have access to numerous attachments like lasers, magazines, or grips to build your customized loadout. At the maximum level of your weapons, you will finally unlock weapon tuning. This allows you to further refine your equipment.
How to use the feature optimally is explained here: Weapon Tuning Guide – Here’s how you can adjust your attachments.
What makes Blue Dot sights so special? Since the release of CoD: MW (2019), sights with Blue Dot have slowly but steadily evolved from a real insider tip to the meta. Especially in Warzone, they have been extremely popular among many pros.
The reason for this is actually quite simple. A sight with Blue Dot offers you higher contrasts, making aiming easier. Since many players prefer dark skins for their operator, it is important that your reticle stands out well from the opponent.
The color of the Blue Dot sight is also rarely found in your environment. Therefore, it is particularly easy to see. A red dot sight, on the other hand, can often get lost in special effects like explosions.
If you have visibility issues, it might be worth changing the settings. 10 settings that will make you better in CoD MW2 right away.
