I use a trick in Pokémon GO every day to quickly sort good from bad Pokémon. You can find out what it is here.
What’s it about? A while ago, I created two filters in Pokémon GO that help me quickly sort Pokémon every day. Most people know how to use filters in Pokémon GO. With the help of filters, Pokémon can be sorted based on various criteria. You can also save these filters as favorites to use them quickly at any time.
How are filters saved? After using a filter in the search and going to the search field in your Pokémon box, you can click on Show more
. Then, your recently used search entries will be displayed. If you tap and hold one of the filters used here with your finger for a short time, the filter will be saved under Favorite
.
If you hold a filter saved under favorites for a short time again, you can give it a name or remove it.

2 filters to quickly find Pokémon for raids and the battle league
Which filters are they? I have saved one filter for Pokémon with good IV values for raids and one for Pokémon with corresponding IV values for the battle league. If you collect Pokémon for the Super and Hyper League, you shouldn’t rely on Pokémon with 4 stars. The filters are as follows:
- For raid Pokémon:
4*, 3*
- For Super League and Hyper League Pokémon:
0-1attack-value&3-4defense-value&3-4hp
How do the filters work? Since you want the maximum IV values for raid Pokémon, the filter only looks for Pokémon that have 3* or 4*. This way, only Pokémon with very high IV values are shown, making them suitable for raids.
In contrast, the filter for the Super and Hyper League looks for Pokémon whose IV in attack is between 0 and 5 points and whose defense and HP IV are between 10 and 15 points. This way, Pokémon are displayed that are more suitable for use in the respective leagues.
How can I alternatively adjust the filters? You can also adjust the filter for the Super and Hyper League so that only Pokémon with 0 points in the attack value are displayed. To do this, simply replace the part 0-1attack-value
at the beginning of the filter with 0attack-value
.
What advantage do the filters bring? Since I have saved these two filters as favorites, I can quickly access them. When my Pokémon box is full, I sort the Pokémon by the most recently caught first and use the two filters one after the other. All Pokémon that match the filters are now marked as favorite Pokémon, and I send the others away.
This way, I can quickly send Pokémon on the go without the risk of accidentally sending good Pokémon.
How about you? Do you have filters that you use daily? Take a look at the events in January in Pokémon GO.
