The EKSA E900 Pro in practical tests
In practical tests, we compared the EKSA E900 Pro with the Corsair HS35 Stereo and the AOC GH300. Especially the AOC GH300 proved to be a real budget tip. All three devices are priced between 30 and 60 Euros and target users with a tight budget.
Comfort
How the EKSA E900 Pro performs: The EKSA gaming headset completely envelops the ears and is generally very comfortable. Even after long workdays or extended gaming sessions, I felt no uncomfortable pressure on my ears. However, the memory foam does cause some warmth. After a few hours of wear, my ears become warm, which could be uncomfortable in summer. Headphones or headsets with fabric cushions perform better in this regard, as they allow for better heat dissipation.
How does it compare? Compared to the Corsair or AOC headsets, there are some differences. The Corsair headset is overall the least comfortable because the metal bands are quite stiff, and the ear cups are slightly too small. The AOC device sits very snugly but is still comfortable, primarily due to its very large ear cups.
None of the three devices offer an elastic headband, like those found in SteelSeries or TurtleBeach, which would further improve comfort.
Sound Quality
All three mentioned devices use 50mm neodymium drivers with a frequency range of 20 Hz – 20 kHz. This is standard for the price range of 50 Euros and not surprising.
How the EKSA E900 Pro performs: I can perceive a slight baseline noise, but only if I really concentrate on it.
The headset does not deliver a balanced sound in general. The sound is quite bass-heavy, which is not surprising for a gaming headset, and the highs seem to be somewhat cut off.
EKSA utilizes virtual surround sound in their headset. It sounds quite artificial and is only moderately convincing. In general, while the virtual surround sound improves the localization of opponents, the sound quality overall decreases and sounds more echoey. It feels somewhat like you are walking through a hall, where you hear your steps distinctly, but the music or sound comes across blurred.
How does it compare? The AOC GH300 shows similar strengths and weaknesses, but overall it sounds more balanced, as the highs and mids have slightly more volume. Especially in music, individual details are better highlighted than with the EKSA device. However, when I play games with the devices, I hardly notice the sound difference.
Microphone
How the EKSA E900 Pro performs: The microphone of the EKSA 900 Pro is surprisingly good. In test recordings and conversations with friends, I sound more spatial, yet also somewhat distant. In my test recordings, however, the overall volume was quite low. The voice does not sound as natural with the microphone, as the low frequencies do not come across fully.
How does it compare? In direct comparison, other gaming headsets in the range of about 50 Euros perform significantly worse. With the AOC GH300, it sounds like a can phone, and the Corsair HS35 Stereo was the least convincing to my colleagues in daily conversations.
Conclusion: A hidden gem for those who don’t want to spend much on a good gaming headset
For whom is the headset suitable? The EKSA gaming headset is a true hidden gem if you don’t want to spend much on a gaming headset.
For around 40 Euros, you certainly cannot expect high-end sound or fantastic build quality. However, the gaming headset does not have any noteworthy weaknesses. Especially in comparison to the competition, the microphone is worth recommending.

If you want to get into gaming and are looking for an affordable device or need a second headset for your Xbox or PlayStation, the EKSA 900 Pro is also a tip.
What alternatives are there? With the Logitech G332 and the AOC GH300, there are affordable and reasonable alternatives if you do not want to spend more than 50 Euros on a gaming headset.
The G332 is very comfortable due to its lightweight design and offers good sound for the money, but the microphone is inferior to the EKSA 900 Pro. The AOC GH300 also has a weaker microphone but offers similarly high comfort as the EKSA headset. The surround sound sounds very artificial in both the EKSA device and the AOC GH300.
