Televisions have become indispensable in our daily lives for decades. They have steadily evolved, becoming thinner and larger. What are the TVs of MeinMMO readers like?
“Tube”, “Box”, “Screen”, “Slippers Cinema” and many other less flattering nicknames have been given to the television over the past decades. Nevertheless, these devices have become a fixed part of our lives.
The size of televisions is usually specified in inches. This measurement refers to the distance between two diagonally opposite corners. The inch measurement refers only to the visible image, excluding the casing, which is essentially the same for modern flat-screen TVs today.
One inch is approximately 2.54 centimeters. When applied to standard TV sizes, it looks something like this:
- 43 inches are approximately 102 cm with dimensions of 97×57 cm
- 55 inches are approximately 140 cm with dimensions of 124×73 cm
- 65 inches are approximately 165 cm with dimensions of 145×90 cm, etc.
If you want to know why televisions are specified in inches, then take a look at our article where we explain why this is the case:
For gaming fans, TVs have become interesting thanks to consoles. Both the consoles and the “screens” they could be connected to have continuously evolved over time.
What started as small boxes with pixelated graphics can now display stunning graphics in 4K resolution. If someone wants to buy a television, they can choose their new favorite from many different brands and place it in their home.
In addition to various brands like Samsung, LG, TCL, or Sony, there are many different features and especially sizes. Some gamers even connect their PC to a TV and use it as a display. Therefore, we at MeinMMO wanted to know, do you have a television? And if so, how big is it?
Here’s how you can vote: You can tell us more about the size of your box in the survey tool below. As always, each of you has only one vote, which cannot be undone.
If you have more than one television at home, feel free to let us know in the comments.
So tell us, how many inches does your TV device have? Is it important to you that the television is as large as possible, or is size rather secondary? How much does the size of the television contribute to your gaming experience? Or do you not have a screen at all and prefer to use PC monitors? Let us know in the comments.
