What is the game about? In Headliners, you play as a group of journalists who venture into the dangerous streets of New York. There, deadly monsters roam around. Your task as journalists is to capture the events in the city in pictures – preferably spectacular ones, mind you. After all, you want to make it to the front page.
- Each of you is equipped with a camera and can take photos
- If you take promising photos, you must escape alive with them
- In your hideout, you review the pictures and hope they make it to the front page
Each expedition consumes a press pass, of which you only have three at the beginning. If your photos appear in the headlines, you get another one. So if you want to fool around, at least make sure some good pictures come out of it.
For the perfect photo, you will occasionally also make sacrifices. If one of your colleagues is torn to pieces by a monster, it is of course a tragedy at first – but it might just be the picture that gets you in the headlines.
