This is how the friends system works in Honkai: Star Rail
How can I help friends? You can help your friends in battle by setting up a “support character.” Here’s how to do it:
- Go to the mobile menu
- Click the three dots in the player profile at the top right
- Click on Game Pass
- You will see the support character at the top right
- Click on the image and select the character from the character list that you want to help others
If a player completes a battle with your support character, you will receive a reward for it. You can receive up to 5 rewards per day this way.
How can I get help? You cannot request support for all battles, but it is possible in the Blossom Cup and the Caves of Corrosion.
To request a support character, go to the team setup and click the green button “Support” in the bottom right:
If you click on it, you will see a list of the available support characters. At the top are the characters of your friends, and below you will find a random selection of various players.
Select the character you want to have in the team for this battle, add them to the team, and start the challenge.
How can I add friends? To access the friends menu, first open the mobile menu and select the second option “Friends.”
You will then see a list of all your friends. From here, you can also add new friends. In the bottom right on the button “Friend Request,” you can accept or decline requests from other players.
If you go to the top center and click the second icon, you will see a list of “Strangers” to whom you can send a friend request.
Is HoYoverse planning more multiplayer features in the future? So far, no official information about additional multiplayer features in Honkai: Star Rail has been announced.
