Fortnite consists of two games, the free battle royale and the still paid original game ‘Save the World’. In battle royale mode, up to 100 players are dropped onto a colorful island. Only one (or one team) can remain at the end. To do this, you collect weapons and equipment and avoid the storm that gradually reduces the playing field during a match. As a special feature, you can destroy nearly the entire game world and build your own buildings and fortifications with previously collected resources. Additionally, Epic regularly presents new seasons in which there are new cosmetic items to win and the map constantly changes. There is also the ‘No Build’ mode, a modified version of the battle royale mode, where you have to prove yourself in combat using only your weapons and items. Fortnite: Save the World, on the other hand, is a colorful online co-op shooter that mixes elements of a survival game with a shooter, tower defense, and Minecraft. After a global catastrophe, almost all humans have disappeared and instead, zombies are roaming around. During the day, you have peace and gather equipment and resources. At night, however, hundreds of enemies come and you must build a fortified fortress full of traps and defenses. At the end of a mission, you receive experience and equipment, with which you can level up your heroes – there are four different classes.
