In Pokémon GO Ho-Oh is active as a raid boss for a few days now. However, it should actually have been deactivated by now.
Surprise lasts longer: On Friday evening, August 24, Niantic announced that Ho-Oh would spawn in Pokémon GO raids. An old friend, who can now even appear in his shiny form. The visit of the monster was planned until August 27, but even now, on August 28, the Pokémon can still be found in the game. But why?
Longer Ho-Oh Spawns Worldwide
Maybe you’ve already noticed it during your Pokémon tour this morning. Ho-Oh raids continue to appear, even though they should have ended last night.
Many reports on Social Media: On Reddit, trainers from various parts of the world report: I just had a Ho-Oh raid spawn. Why?
No explanation from Niantic: Why the raids are still spawning is unknown. Niantic has not commented further on this issue. In the original message, it was stated that the Ho-Oh raids would last until August 27.
Perhaps Niantic extended the duration because of the many problems currently occurring in Pokémon GO.

On the other hand, the extended raids could simply be a mistake. Ho-Oh raids continue to spawn in Germany as well. The following screenshot was taken at 9:45 AM on Tuesday morning.
Tip: So, if you don’t have or don’t have enough Ho-Oh, you should take this opportunity now and quickly join some raids.
How long will the raids last? We don’t know how long these encounters will remain in the game. They may be deactivated again in a few hours. Update: Since around 2:00 PM, there have been no new Ho-Oh reports. The Pokémon has left the arenas and is no longer available as a raid boss.
