Grombrindal, the White Dwarf
Grombrindal, also known as “the White Dwarf,” is a true legend among the Dwarfs. No one knows exactly where or how to find him. However, he always appears exactly where his people need him the most and turns every battle in their favor. Once, an entire horde of Goblins even fled at the mere sight of him.
The true identity of the White Dwarf remains a mystery. Many believe that he is actually Snorri Whitebeard, the first High King of the Dwarfs. If that is true, he would be several thousand years old – much older than any other Dwarf who has ever lived.
Another name for Grombrindal is Khalash-a-Kalan, the Lord of Slayers. He is said to have been cursed by the gods to wander the Old World forever and fight the enemies of the Dwarfs.
Incidentally, Grombrindal is also the namesake of the most important magazine about Warhammer: “White Dwarf.” Thus, he holds legendary status not only within the lore but also in a meta sense.
