Helldivers 2 has shot into the hearts of players in 2024. The co-op shooter focused on fun missions, an ironic atmosphere, and a fair funding model. Now Arrowhead is making what seems to be a taboo break: You can buy a weapon directly with real money when it is in the shop rotation.
What is it about? At the Game Awards 2024, Arrowhead presented a new major update for Helldivers 2. This was a dream come true for many players. The Illuminates were finally in the game and accordingly, there was also a new Warbond with weapons, gear, and cosmetic content.
However, not all new weapons can be unlocked in the Warbond. A new melee weapon is available only in the Über-Store, and that directly for real money. The problem with it, though: The weapon disappears from the Über-Store.
First real money weapon in the Über-Store
Which weapon is it? The CQC-30 Stun Baton is a secondary melee weapon that allows you to perform quick melee strikes at short attack range. Unlike the previous weapons, you cannot unlock this one in the new Warbond.
The weapon is exclusive to the Über-Store and costs 200 Über-Credits, just under 2 €. Currently, you cannot purchase the weapon anymore, as it has rotated out of the shop. If you want it, you will have to wait.
This is the first weapon of its kind. Normally, new weapons are available in the Warbond, which you must also buy with real money. There, you can unlock the weapons and gear with medals. But indeed forever. The topic is not that critical, though. The Warbond also costs real money and you can quickly earn 200 Über-Credits from missions.
In the new Warbond, which lasts forever, there is also a good alternative to the Stun Baton. The Stun Lance serves a similar function but is slower in the combat animation. However, the Stun Lance has more range and thus more safety.
When will the weapon return to the Über-Store? Since December 16, 2024, at 11 AM, the weapon has not been in the Über-Store. When it will return is unclear. You must check the shop weekly if you really want the weapons.
