The fans of Helldivers 2 are currently not quite satisfied with the state of the game. Therefore, a separate alliance has now been founded, aimed at all players.
What is the community doing? Helldivers 2 was only released at the beginning of February 2024, yet fans have already experienced ups and downs with the title. Despite the developers’ roadmap some players have doubts about the future of the game and now want to ensure that Helldivers 2 continues to be actively played.
The means to this end is a newly formed alliance of players that operates independently of the developers’ commands. It is about telling your own story. The best part: Anyone who plays Helldivers 2 can be part of it.
To save the Democratic Space Station
What kind of alliance is this? The open group calls itself “Freedom Alliance.” It was established after lengthy debates about the game in the subreddit and on Discord. Fans and prominent representatives from the community decided that it would probably be best to do their own thing.
They came together and founded the alliance, which will organize major events in the future. This is to mobilize players for important missions.
Because there is no time to waste in the fight for freedom and democracy, the first mission is already underway. It is called “Operation Vanguard Horizon.” The goal is to break through the supply lines of the Automaton, as they threaten the construction of the Democratic Space Station (DSS).
In addition to the common goal, the alliance also provides a list of recommended equipment, as well as tactics in combat. Here you see the call to participate:
On Reddit the available missions will be shared, which interested players can participate in. After they are completed, one of the following three tasks must be fulfilled:
- Add a comment to this thread, describing your experiences completing the missions (no subreddit)
- Create a post on r/LowSodiumHelldivers, reporting how the operation went for you.
- Create a report in the #freedom-alliance-rp channel on the Low Sodium Discord.
Can anyone be part of the alliance? Yes, there are no restrictions such as membership hurdles or anything like that. The Freedom Alliance is not a clan or a closed group, but an idea that anyone can join.
The current operation runs until October 24. It will be seen how the alliance continues thereafter. The developers recently released a new update: Helldivers 2 wanted to fix the game in 60 days, now the final update is here – Patch Notes for 01.001.104
