A little girl discovered a character from the Anime My Hero Academia about a year ago. She realized that they have some things in common. Her discovery moved several people in charge.
What is this commonality? About a year ago, a little girl known as Windy-chan discovered a plush toy from My Hero Academia. The plush toy represented the character Shoto Todoroki, who, just like the girl, has a scar on his face.
The video of her discovery spread so far, that even the original Japanese voice actor and the author of the manga reached out. The voice actor mentioned the character’s sad past and expressed how glad he was that such a sad story could make other people’s lives easier.
As a new video shows, even more positive things have happened to the girl: Windy-chan not only got to meet the English-speaking voice actor of the character but also received a really great gift.

How did she meet the English-speaking voice actor? On X, it’s shown how David Matranga meets the little girl. The two meet at a convention where Matranga is present for photos and autographs.
Windy-chan even dressed up as Shoto and carries the very doll she discovered in the store back then. The meeting is heartwarming. Of course, he signs a figure of Shoto for the little girl, at least the base on which the figure stands. Additionally, he takes a group photo with the whole family that they can now display at home.
Afterward, Windy-chan asks who Matranga’s favorite character is. He responds that he’s very biased, and of course, Shoto is his favorite.
What kind of gift did she receive? The streaming service Crunchyroll sent the little girl a complete package of surprises. In a picture on X, she can be seen proudly holding up 2 plush toys of Shoto and Tanjiro from Demon Slayer.
