EA Sports has announced who will be on the cover of FIFA 20. The surprise: there are several players. Each edition has its own cover star.
It took an unusually long time for the new cover star from EA Sports to be revealed. But now two players are already confirmed: Eden Hazard from Real Madrid and Virgil Van Dijk from Liverpool FC.
However, the superstars do not have to share a cover. Each will be featured on a different FIFA version.
- Standard Edition – Hazard
- Champions Edition – Van Dijk
- Ultimate Edition: Zidane
Hazard is excited: For Eden Hazard, it seems to be a great joy to be back on the cover of a FIFA title. Via Twitter, the new signing from Real Madrid wrote: “Back on the cover of FIFA. Not bad for a boy from a small village in Belgium.”
- Champions Edition – Virgil Van Dijk
Not the first cover for Hazard: This is not Eden Hazard’s first FIFA cover. He was already featured on the UK cover of FIFA 15 alongside Lionel Messi. Virgil Van Dijk, on the other hand, is appearing on a FIFA cover for the first time.

One cover star is still missing
The last player is not yet known: The cover star for the Ultimate version of FIFA 20 has not yet been revealed. EA only announces that a reveal will follow soon. We are curious to see who it will be. Update: It is Zidane.
This is the player fans want: In a large survey about the desired cover star for FIFA 20, many FIFA fans desire the South Korean Heung-Min Son for the cover. Perhaps this wish will come true, and the Tottenham player will be introduced as the cover star of the Ultimate Edition.

EA had to act: Due to the loss of the license for Juventus Turin, Cristiano Ronaldo could no longer be on the cover of FIFA 20. It would certainly look quite odd if the Portuguese were featured in a fake jersey and logo on the official FIFA cover.
