Newton Newt
Scamander is one of the most beloved Hufflepuffs and a respected Magizoologist. His love for magical creatures was shaped by his childhood, when his mother bred hippogriffs.
During his time at Hogwarts, he stood out for his compassion and helpfulness. After a dangerous incident with a beast for which he took responsibility, he was expelled from school to protect his friend Leta Lestrange.
After school, Newt worked at the Ministry of Magic and traveled to five continents to research magical creatures. In his suitcase, he cares for injured animals and uses various herbs for his potions.
His famous book “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is still a textbook at Hogwarts today.
Newt is a kind-hearted person who advocates for the rights of magical creatures. He is essentially the model Hufflepuff
. He rarely judges others and shows no prejudices, which is appreciated by Dumbledore.
Instead of striving for power, he always stands up for what is good and tries to make the right choices. Thus, he has certainly earned the 2nd place.
Rank 1: Helga Hufflepuff
Helga Hufflepuff is one of the 4 founders of Hogwarts. The house Hufflepuff was named after her. Together with Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin, Helga founded Hogwarts to create a place where young witches and wizards could develop their magical abilities.
In contrast to Slytherin, who only wanted to accept pure-blooded
students, Helga advocated for everyone. She welcomed all students who were not chosen by the other houses – regardless of their ancestry or abilities. She is often referred to as Mother Hufflepuff
and is known for her warmth.
Helga was also a gifted witch and a passionate cook. Many of the dishes for festive occasions at the school originally trace back to her.
After her death, Helga Hufflepuff was honored with a chocolate frog card (collectible card) and remains a symbol of the values of her house to this day – which is why Helga ranks 1st.
