Streamer and content creator HandOfBlood introduced his new colleague live on Twitch. An AI clone is supposed to help him keep the viewers entertained during streams. In the first test, the evil twin convinces mainly with funny insults, for which he even demands money.
What kind of evil AI twin is this? The AI clone was born out of an idea from HandOfBlood and a former employee who is well-versed in artificial intelligence, or AI for short. The collaboration resulted in an evil AI twin, which recently had its first test run during a Twitch stream.
The AI clone is a 3D projection of HandOfBlood, which can appear on screen either as just a head, head and upper body, or as a full-body double. The replica with a mustache, glasses, and septum looks very similar to the streamer.

The voice with a slight Berlin accent is also reminiscent of HandOfBlood’s real voice.
What is the AI clone used for? The AI is supposed to provide entertainment when the streamer takes breaks for various reasons. In the presence of HandOfBlood, the AI is meant to respond to messages that would otherwise be lost among the numerous contributions of live viewers during a livestream.
The interaction with the AI works according to the following system:
- the AI can be activated by a viewer when they write a message containing the term
KI
orAI
- HandOfBlood can actively give instructions to his AI using a microphone and thus also intervene in conversations
- the AI, in turn, can react to events in the stream and assess HandOfBlood’s appearance and reactions
- additionally, the AI can also respond in the chat as the real HandOfBlood
That HandOfBlood relies on an AI employee is by no means uncommon anymore. On MeinMMO, we reported that many employers would prefer to hire an AI over a university graduate from Gen Z.
AI twin insults even paying viewers
That is why viewers pay for the insults from the AI twin: The AI reacts due to a setting only to the people who gift a sub to HandOfBlood’s Twitch channel. People who support the channel are praised by the AI twin, while everyone else is referred to as “low earners” or “losers” who should also leave a sub.
However, even people who gift HandOfBlood a sub worth €4.99 are prompted by the AI to put even more money into the channel.
How does the AI clone insult? The insults are sometimes extremely original and funny. “Show-off”, “techno hippies”, and “idiot” are still the more harmless expressions that are thrown at the viewers.
This encourages more and more people during the stream to gift a sub to hear the AI twin’s opinion in an entertaining way.
The AI clone also turns out to be a grammar police officer, particularly triggered by spelling mistakes in a message. The same goes for viewers who haven’t read messages properly and ask questions that have already been answered by the AI or simply don’t fit the topic.
Evil clone does not shy away from its template
In the comments for the viewers, there are also repeated comparisons with the real HandOfBlood.
For example, the streamer is said to be a bad gamer who wears overpriced clothes and has an extravagantly groomed mustache. Additionally, he should focus more on gaming and less on his business and other companies, like his malt beverage brand.
The AI, which is specialized in gaming, wants nothing to do with it and responds to a viewer’s address as “Mr. Knabe” (referring to his role as President Knabe for his club Eintracht Spandau, note from the editor), stating that he is not that but “the dirt over there”.
What other problems are there with the AI twin? According to the streamer’s statements, some adjustments still need to be made:
- it is not always clear which comment the AI is referring to with its statements
- the pronunciation of some words is still incorrect
Furthermore, it is still unclear where the AI gets information about some viewers, as the AI is not supposed to scan Twitch profiles or social media accounts. Over time, the AI should also be trained to really play games or at least to make informed comments about games.
