In Guild Wars 2, there was a quirky event. Those who were lucky once were rewarded twice.
As reported by the German fan site GuildNews, some players unexpectedly received mail from ArenaNet: Included were the bonus items available with the purchase of the “heroic edition”.
What happened? Lucky players who had limited access to the first stress test of the Heart of Thorns expansion were manually reset after the beta test by ArenaNet. It was noticed that the sales edition these players had was no longer available and likely not even in the system anymore. Therefore, it was decided to give them the next best edition: The Heroic edition with all its advantages.
Well, you need to be lucky. If good things really always come in threes, one might recommend a lottery ticket.
