With the patch on March 5th, a new mount has been added to Guild Wars 2. This mount is specifically designed for the World vs. World mode but can also be used anywhere else in the game. In this guide, we will tell you how to obtain the mount Warclaw.
Requirements for the mount: To unlock the new Warclaw, you must have the Path of Fire expansion. You cannot unlock the mount with only the Free-to-Play version or the first expansion alone.
To unlock the Warclaw, you have to complete a collection. To activate the new collection, you need one World Ability Point, which is automatically available to you.
Simply press “B” when you are in World vs. World and allocate the first point in the “Warclaw Mastery” path.

The “Warclaw Companion” Collection
To complete the collection, you need to complete a total of eight small tasks. All of them must be completed in World vs. World. A large part of the tasks can even be completed in the Mist’s Edge.

Warclaw Emblem: The first task was to unlock the Warclaw Emblem. You completed this automatically by allocating the point.
Warclaw Collar: For this achievement, you need to conquer a fortress in World vs. World. Each map has three fortresses, and in the Eternal Battlegrounds, thanks to Castle Steinnebel, there are even four.
Fortresses have two gates/walls, so you need a larger group to capture them.
Warclaw Horns: For this part of the collection, you must conquer a camp. These are the small, unfortified outposts on the maps.
Camps can be easily captured alone. However, there are no camps in the Mist’s Edge, so you must go to the Borderlands or the Eternal Battlegrounds for this task.
Warclaw Saddle: For the Warclaw Saddle, you must capture a tower. Towers have a gate and usually require additional players to be captured.
Warclaw Helm: For the Warclaw Helm, you need to complete a WvW reward track. This track is automatically unlocked with the collection but must be activated by you. You can find it in the WvW menu.
You fill the reward track by performing activities in World vs. World. Additionally, you receive a potion for daily WvW achievements that grants you progress in this track.

Warclaw Body Armor: You can buy the body armor from a special vendor at the spawn point in the Borderlands in WvW. You need 50 WvW Skirmish Tickets for this, which you can also earn through activities in WvW.
The difference here is that you receive rewards for playing in a single session and that things like World Rank and the placement of your server in WvW influence the speed of earning.
Warclaw Leg Armor: You can purchase the leg armor from the same WvW vendor as the body armor. This time, however, you need to spend 250 Honor Badges.
You earn this currency by ranking up in the WvW ranks.
Warclaw Tail Armor: This item is dropped by enemy guards. The chance for this is 10%.
Unlock the mount: Finally, you need to visit the special vendor again and purchase the mount for 8 Gold.

Unlock All Skills of the Warclaw
After you have unlocked the Warclaw through the collection, you can teach it additional skills.
What can the Warclaw do? The following skills are available for the Warclaw:
- Dodge – By pressing the spacebar, you leap forward with your mount, dodging attacks. Dodging consumes one stamina bar as usual.
- War Hammer – The first attack of the mount deals damage and bleeding, and you will be dismounted. In the improved version, this attack also defeats all opposing players in the downstate.
- Sniff – This skill marks all enemy players within a radius of 5,000 on the map. However, invisible players are not detected.
- Chain Pull – With the Chain Pull skill, the Warclaw can deal damage to enemy gates. However, supplies will be consumed, and only three mounts can pull at a gate simultaneously.

What do I need to do for the additional skills? To unlock the first collection, you had to spend one World Ability Point in the corresponding path.
For all further skills, you will also need to allocate points there. You need a total of 126 World Ability Points for all skills and traits.
