With the next patch, the destroyed city of Lion’s Arch will finally be rebuilt: players were even able to influence the naming of the new districts by participating in a vote.
Better secured than before
Through the “living world” of Guild Wars 2 and the resulting threat from Scarlet Briar, Lion’s Arch was severely damaged. Many of the former landmarks of the city lay in ruins for a long time. Now, the best builders and craftsmen of Tyria have gathered to breathe new life into the central capital and make it shine anew! Especially the defenses have been reinforced to prevent such a tragedy in the future.
As part of the reconstruction, players were even able to participate in a survey to rename the districts: The former “Canal District” will now be the “Commodore Quarter” and the “Lighthouse” will be called the “Phoenix Nest”.
In the coming days, several events will be announced before the patch goes live and the newly rebuilt Lion’s Arch is inaugurated.
