New tag, new update for the current World-First race in the raid Liberation of Lorenhall from World of Warcraft. A guild that gained a rather infamous reputation last week plays a major role in this.
What has happened since yesterday? In the last update on the World-First race in WoW, the US guild Liquid managed to take down raid boss Stix Kojenschrotter after 114 attempts. Meanwhile, 9 other guilds, including Echo and Method, were still battling against the third boss.
In the following, you will learn what has happened since then:
- Currently, three guilds are on boss number 5: Ritzelkrämer Lockenstock. This boss was even weakened by Blizzard via hotfix (5 percent less health on Mythic, via wowhead.com).
- Liquid is close to the kill, after 85 pulls they managed to bring the boss to 5.26 percent health in their best attempt. Echo is at 17.65 percent (61 pulls), and Method is at 42.03 percent (47 pulls).

Second wave of bans announced
What about the cheating guild? You might have heard: Shortly after the start of the current World-First race, the previously unknown guild “RAoV Quality Assurance” managed to defeat the final boss of the mythic version of the raid. Given the speed of the kills, it seemed incredibly unbelievable because the experienced professional guilds were still struggling at the beginning of the instance.
As it was bound to happen: The guild was caught exploiting exploits and hacks and was banned by Blizzard. The corresponding entry in the Hall of Fame was deleted. However, it doesn’t seem to have set the guild back too much.
As icy-veins.com reports, the guild has stormed back into the current raid with different characters under the new name “ecnarussAeR ytilauQ VoAR” (an anagram of the old guild name) to take down Chromking Gallywix (and this time also all other bosses) again.
How is Blizzard reacting? Very quickly, and again with bans and the removal of achievements from the Hall of Fame of WoW. Meanwhile, one of the players from the exploiting guild commented: “Quality assurance is really hard.”
How is the community reacting to the exploiters? Mainly with jokes. For example, they are celebrating the guild’s “World Second Kill” and are now waiting for the “Race to World Third” (via Reddit). dreverythinggonnabe even claims that members of the guild have done similar things years ago to uncover exploits and explain them in detail (via Reddit).
