What kind of update is this? This is the annually held winter update of GTA Online. In addition to snow and festive spirit, there is also a new way to earn money.

Time and download for the start of Chop Shop
The update is now available for download and is playable in GTA Online. The download sizes are as follows:
- Xbox Series X|S ~ 13.3 GB
- Xbox One ~ 2.6 GB
- PS5 ~ 6.212 GB
- PS4 ~ 3 GB
- PC Rockstar Games Launcher ~ 2.2 GB
- PC Steam ~ 2.4 GB
What time does the update come out today? The update was released early today, on December 12, 2023, on all platforms. Every player can now download the update.
Contents of Chop Shop
The new contents of the update at a glance: The DLC brings new story content and ways to earn money. Now you become a scrap dealer and can work with a familiar face from GTA IV – Yusuf Amir. To do this, buy a junkyard, steal luxury cars, and either dismantle them or sell them directly to Yusuf.
Drifting is also supposed to be a theme in the new update, as selected vehicles will be given a modification that lets you drift.

Another important part of the update is the quality-of-life improvements. Rockstar Games has listened to the community and brings you many changes and adjustments designed to enhance the gameplay experience.
Improvements to the gaming experience
- PS5 and Xbox Series players can look forward to a vibrant wildlife experience in Los Santos
- Members of GTA+ receive a new garage with storage space for 100 cars
- Your interaction menu now allows you to organize your cars better – cars can be moved from garage to garage
- Interaction menu is set to be revised
- More LS-Car-Meet reputation points for participating in chase and street races
- A new manufacturing service in LS Car Meet that now also allows players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC to purchase copies of other players’ personal vehicles
- Custom names for each floor of the garage on Eclipse Blvd
- The console voice chat is now set to “off” by default
- A small birthday gift for all players on the birthday of their character
