In GTA Online, there are important purchases that can help you while playing. MeinMMO editor Patrick Freese shows you what his most important acquisitions have been this year.
With the Cayo Perico DLC released on December 15, 2020, many new contents were added to the game. Even in the weeks following, more content is being added through drip-feed.
I have spent over 800 hours in GTA Online, and during that time, I have tried out several contents, vehicles, features, and businesses. In 2021, there are three purchases that I will definitely not return. I will introduce them to you here and show why they are so important. And why they might interest you as well.
The order in our listing is chosen arbitrarily. Depending on your needs, other parts may be more important.
1. Pegassi Toreador
What makes it good? The Toreador came into the game as part of the Cayo Perico DLC.
- It is equipped with weapons (machine guns + rockets)
- You can use a boost
- There is an amphibious mode to drive in water
What’s special about the equipped rockets is that they are infinite. You have an unlimited number of homing rockets that you can shoot from the car. The tracking of these rockets is particularly noteworthy as they also hit small, moving targets well. So if you are annoyed by flying motorcycles, your rockets provide a nice counter. Especially because in the Oppressor MK 2 flying motorcycle, the rockets are limited.
The armor of the Toreador is also noteworthy. Because the car can withstand 2 shots from a rocket launcher. Additionally, an opponent with an Oppressor MK 2 needs a whopping 6 rocket hits to blow you up.
The swimming mode works like with the Stromberg. You drive into the water, press right on the D-Pad, and then continue driving underwater. However, the Toreador is faster than the Stromberg and even has a sonar installed. This allows you to find underwater crates that reward you with money. You get the sonar when you own the Kosatka submarine and have purchased the sonar station there.
What does it cost? The car costs 3,660,000 GTA Dollars and is available at Warstock Cache & Carry.
2. Sparrow Helicopter
What does it do well? The Sparrow helicopter has been available since the Cayo Perico DLC, just like the Toreador. You need the Kosatka submarine to buy and park the heli. But it is worth it, especially because the heli can excel in combination with the Kosatka.
- The Sparrow heli is slightly faster than an Oppressor MK2 and significantly faster than a Buzzard heli
- You can equip a minigun or a rocket launcher (also with homing, unlimited rockets) as weapons
- The small heli is easy and precise to maneuver
- 2 people can fit in the heli
If you park the Sparrow in the Kosatka, it is ideally stored there. Because for the setup missions of the Cayo Perico heist, the heli is perfect. Gone are the times when you had to take a dinghy from the Kosatka to the coast to call your CEO Buzzard. With the Sparrow, you launch directly from the submarine and save so much time!
But even aside from the surface taxi, the Sparrow excels. Because you can spawn it directly in front of you through the “Special Vehicles” tab and then under “Kosatka” in the interaction menu. You do not need to register as a CEO or biker boss first. A big advantage also in other missions. The Sparrow is now one of the best helicopters in GTA Online.
What does it cost? For the Sparrow, you have to pay 1,815,000 GTA Dollars at Warstock Cache & Carry. You buy it as part of the renovation of the Kosatka.
3. Kosatka – The Submarine for All Cases

What does it do well? Undoubtedly, the Kosatka is one of the most important vehicles that came with the Cayo Perico heist. From there, you manage important missions, start the heist, and can store special vehicles like the Sparrow on-site.
- You need the Kosatka to host the Cayo Perico heist
- With a sonar station, you can locate hidden loot that brings you GTA Dollars
- Chasing missiles that fly far across the map
- You can drive with the submarine (it does not stay in one spot like the yacht)
- You can also park the Toreador in the submarine
If you own the Kosatka, you can start the Cayo Perico heist. It works solo and takes about 1 to 2 hours if you complete it alone and do not run the perfect paths. You quickly earn back the purchase price of the submarine through the unlocked heist. Because in Cayo Perico, there are the highest rewards.
Additionally, the boat offers a fast travel function. Initially, it still costs $10,000 per trip. But once you have completed the Cayo Perico heist, it is only $2,000 per trip.
Moreover, there is the extremely friendly character Pavel, who takes command of the Kosatka in our absence. He always addresses you respectfully as captain.
