When is the update supposed to come? There is no concrete release date for the next update in GTA Online yet. The team mentions it should be “later this year.”

Release in December? On Instagram, travel blogger gwil34 met rapper and music producer Dr. Dre. The blogger revealed that Dr. Dre told him that new music from the rapper would be coming to GTA Online in December. Rockstar Games insider Tez2 pointed this out on Twitter:
What could the theme be? With the new information from Dr. Dre, some players in the community feel confirmed that the next update for GTA Online is related to music and nightclubs.
The nightclubs fit well with Rockstar Games’ wording that players will “see familiar faces” and help them with their “honest business.”

What does Rockstar say about the events? The developers write that in celebration of GTA III’s 20th anniversary, there will be a “variety of items” that you can receive in special events in GTA Online this fall.
What kind of items are there? Paint jobs and clothing, fitting for the 20th anniversary of GTA III, are examples that the Rockstar Games team mentioned.
When will it start? There is no exact start date for this yet. The developers state that this type of event will be available “in the coming weeks.” If one were to choose GTA III’s birthday for this, it would be on October 22. Because on October 22, 2001, the adventure of GTA III started in Liberty City for the first time.
