In GTA Online, a new event week is back as of today, February 18, 2021. This time, the Peyote plants are back. There is also the new free Verus Quad.
What’s new this week? From February 18 to 25, GTA Online is gifting you the Verus Quad, a new off-road vehicle which has been added to the game as part of the Cayo Perico update.
Although the update has already been released, many announced vehicles are being added gradually. Just like the recently introduced Mammoth Squaddie.
Additionally, the Peyote event is back. This has been in GTA Online before and revolves around the Peyote plants that players can collect. MeinMMO summarizes everything important about the Verus and the Peyote plants for you.
Free Verus Quad from Cayo Perico now in the game
What kind of vehicle is this? The Verus is an off-road quad. In the “Warstock Cache & Carry” shop, it costs $192,000. However, anyone who logs in between February 18 and 25 will receive the quad for free.
The vehicle can be upgraded with various gimmicks and parts. For example, you can add ammunition boxes.

Additionally, the Peyote event is back, where you need to search for plants. For this search, you might want to try out the new quad.
You can level up quickly with the Peyote plants
What is the Peyote event? In this event, you need to collect the Peyote plants. This allows you to earn a lot of RP and level up faster in GTA Online.
There are a total of 76 plants scattered across the entire map. Each find gives you 5000 RP. The plants are small, round, and have white flowers, as can be seen in this image:
As soon as you are near a plant, your controller vibrates. You also hear animal sounds. Once you find them, the plants induce hallucinations where you suddenly become a specific animal.

What else is new? During the event week, there are additional offers such as the podium vehicle Överflöd Tyrant. Additionally, as usual, there are bonuses and discounts on races, missions, and other activities.
For instance, there are triple payouts and RP when you complete jobs as bodyguards. You earn double rewards and RP for open races or contact missions. You can find the exact list in the GTA Online subreddit.
