What’s new? In the social networks, the team from Rockstar Games announced a surprising cash windfall that will soon reach you. Every player will receive 250,000 GTA dollars in their account.
Why is Rockstar Games doing this? On July 20, Rockstar Games released the DLC “Los Santos Tuners.” This takes you into the tuning scene of the online world with drift tracks, new races, and new vehicles. Because the launch was so successful, Rockstar Games is now distributing the gift.
What you need to do for the gift
Log in during this time: As Rockstar Games explains, you should log into GTA Online between Friday, July 23, and Sunday, August 1. By doing this, you qualify for the 250,000 GTA dollars.
When will you receive the money? It will take up to 72 hours after you log in during the event period for you to have the 250,000 GTA dollars credited to your online account. The first payouts are expected starting Monday, July 26. The information comes from Rockstar Support (via Support.Rockstargames.com).
You will not receive the money directly upon logging in, but will need to be a little patient. Log into the game just to be sure during a free moment, so you don’t accidentally miss the event.
The most successful update launch for GTA Online
What does the team say? On Twitter, Rockstar Games writes that they sincerely thank the community. They write “[…] we are very proud that more players joined GTA Online at the launch of Los Santos Tuners than at any other update before!”
So, this was the most successful DLC launch in the history of GTA Online.
Why is this DLC so well received? Apparently, Rockstar Games struck a chord with the theme of the DLC. Because when everything is already about super fast cars, a Tuner update is quite obvious.
