The Heist Challenge in GTA Online is completed: Players can now look forward to a free car as a reward.
That was the challenge: In GTA Online, the Heist Challenge 2022 was recently running, which aimed to present a major challenge to the community: Players were to rake in one trillion GTA dollars from heists within just seven days.
This was quite a hefty chunk, double the amount that the community amassed during the Heist Challenge in 2020. Back then, players already aggregated one trillion GTA dollars and unlocked a car gift – even though only 100 billion was required.
Yet again this year, the community reached the goal and successfully completed the challenge. Players not only finished the target, but far exceeded it with four trillion GTA dollars, as reported by Rockstar.
This means there is now another free car for players.
Winter Update in GTA Online brings free car and improvements
What is the free car? It is the “retro-styled Declasse Tahoma Coupe.”
All players should be able to pick it up in GTA Online for a limited time later this month. However, Rockstar has not yet specified an exact timeframe.
What is included in the Winter Update?
Alongside the car, Rockstar also announced the first details for the big Winter Update for GTA Online.
This will bring various improvements and content. Among other things, the PS5 and Xbox Series X will receive reflections with ray tracing on many surfaces – so some changes are coming to the visuals.
Additionally, the following points will be included:
- Faster access to your favorite iFruit contacts by customizing which contacts you want to show or hide in the interaction menu.
- You can use the Benefactor Terrorbyte to start business sell missions in all session types.
- You can tackle Agatha’s casino story missions alone – previously, at least two players were needed.
- New vehicle purchases should appear in the garage faster.
- Certain customized, armed vehicles can be used in races, “where suitable,” according to Rockstar.
- Bicycles can be requested from your garage via the mechanic.
Furthermore, there will be other changes, such as an adjustment to the Shark Cards. The value of all Shark Cards will be increased by 20 – 25% when purchased in GTA Online or in a store of the respective platform.
Additionally, more content will be arriving, such as new vehicles, world events, and contact missions. What exactly is on the way, however, is still unknown.
When is the update coming? The exact date is still open, but it will be released “later this month,” meaning still in December for GTA Online. However, this is just the first part of the update. As Rockstar Games announced on Twitter, it is the first of several parts of the update. Whether there will be two or even more parts is unclear.
