Community warns against logging into GTA Online
This is the warning: In a tweet from June 20, YouTuber GhillieMaster highlights the current problems in the online mode (via Twitter.com). He writes:
WARNING! Check your garages in GTA Online as soon as possible. A new bug randomly removes your insurances. Don’t let your vehicles be destroyed, or you will lose them if they have no insurances.

In the comments on Twitter, some players reply who are affected by the bug. User Jackknife Finnegan writes: ‘I literally just lost my MK II out of nowhere … I thought you were joking. But this is serious and ridiculous.’
Another user asks if this could apply to all vehicles. Like the Deluxo, the Ruiner 2K, Arena War vehicles, etc., to which GhillieMaster replies: ‘If they can be stored and insured, then it can happen.’
Also on Reddit, players are discussing the topic. One writes:
- ‘[…] The car I have owned for months and that was automatically insured because I bought it online somehow had no insurance, I have now lost my favorite car🥲.’
What does this mean for you? If you are currently racing through the streets of GTA Online with your 3-million-dollar sports car, it may happen that suddenly your insurance coverage is no longer active. If another player in a session decides to have fun and destroys your car, then it is gone. Forever. At least according to the current state in GTA Online.
So be sure to check the insurance coverage of your vehicles if you want to play GTA Online. You can do this in your garages at the vehicle info.
Players take affected vehicles to LS Customs and have them insured again. But whether these insurances can no longer be affected by the bug is unclear.
These problems arise shortly after the update, in which Rockstar Games removed nearly 200 vehicles from the dealers.
