The Twitch streamer Gronkh wanted to upload new emotes on Twitch. However, the joy over the new emotes was quickly overshadowed when Twitch decided they violated the guidelines. Gronkh himself appeared surprised and confused by this decision, as he saw no obvious reason for it.
A running gag that has existed for a long time in Gronkh’s community is the so-called “StuhlTV”. Whenever Gronkh gets up from his chair and only the chair is visible on screen, the chat fills up with a special emote: StuhlTV.
What started as a simple gag has developed into a full-blown cult, which has even found a foothold on other platforms like Twitter and Reddit. StuhlTV has its own Twitter account, was painted and defended by the community during the Reddit event r/Place, and is now set to receive more emotes.
Here you can learn more about Gronkh:
Which StuhlTV emote is problematic? The problems began when Gronkh tried to upload new StuhlTV emotes. However, these were blocked by Twitch. Gronkh expressed his confusion about this on X/Twitter during the night of February 15 to 16, 2024. He emphasized that the chair depicted in the emote was completely covered in leather, thus wearing more “clothing” than some streamers on the Twitch homepage.
But it wasn’t just the emote itself that was blocked; the images of it on Twitter were also subject to the same restrictions. Gronkh reacted with a humorous comment, pointing out that StuhlTV might just be too hot for Twitch and added that he would rather deal with an alternative next time, like “OF-bots spamming cheap ads everywhere”.
How did Gronkh respond to the situation? Gronkh, known for his humor, took the situation calmly. He created another post in which he humorously commented on the Twitch guidelines.
He posted a comparison image, on which a suggestive woman, who presumably would be allowed to stream on Twitch, was shown on the left, while the contested StuhlTV emote was shown on the right. This ironic representation highlighted Gronkh’s confusion over Twitch’s decisions.
Which emotes were additionally blocked? The problems, however, were not limited to Gronkh’s main channel. A further emote was also blocked on his second channel GronkhTV. It bore the inscription: “-20 IQ”.
Twitch justified the block with the accusation of targeted insult, bullying, or incitement to abuse. Gronkh commented on the decision simply with: “Ok, Twitch”.
Under Gronkh’s tweets, there were also many humorous comments underscoring the absurdity of the situation:
- Jasmin Gnu wrote: “Let the thing twerk. Then it should be fine”
- kAmPfKeCkS | Kecksi wrote: “I suspect the problem is the brain. But um… actually this is harmless. But pool streams are fine, right?”
- Wastedmind_007 wrote: “Oh, it’s about the emote issue, I have no idea what that is, but emotes are currently being reported that “allegedly” violate the TOS, Divi’s Fish Booty emote has also been affected, apparently targeted actions are misusing the report function”
- AkikoYuzuki wrote: “So, if I don’t see Gronkh’s butt just the same in the cam, with a thong, (!) then this is where the fun stops!”
- Mathias wrote: “Well, you might have to take your own backside as an emote instead of that of StuhlTV”
Another interesting twist occurred when Shahruk Ger wrote under the tweet: “Hypothetically speaking, if some clever users were to randomly copy the emote and post it in the chat without your knowledge, would you get in trouble? Just out of curiosity?”.
Gronkh responded: “Maybe someone just uploaded the emotes at 7TV. I have no idea who would do such a thing. But it could be possible.”
This humorous response shows how Gronkh deals with the situation while expressing his typical sarcasm.
Currently, Gronkh is trending not only on Twitter but also on Twitch. After all, he is the world’s largest Palworld streamer at the moment. You can read more about it here: Gronkh shows on Twitch that he still has it: currently the largest streamer to Palworld worldwide
