While the first legendary Pokémon can currently be found in Dynamax battles, a new Pokémon is also waiting for you in Gigantamax: Kingler.

When does the event take place? The Dynamax Battle Day with Gigantamax Kingler will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. During these 3 hours, you will have the opportunity to challenge the Pokémon and add it to your collection.
If you’re lucky, you might also get the shiny variant of Kingler.
What bonuses are there? During the event, you can look forward to the following bonuses:
- The maximum collection limit for Dynamax particles is increased to 1,600
- Gigantamax battles take place at all power sources
- Power sources refresh more frequently
- You will receive 8 times the amount of Dynamax particles at power sources
From 12:00 AM to 5:00 PM on February 1, 2025, the following bonuses are also active:
- Double amount of Dynamax particles from walking
- Distance run to receive Dynamax particles is reduced to 1/4
Is there an event ticket? For $5 (about €5), you can purchase an event ticket, which grants you a limited research opportunity and 2 additional bonuses. Upon completing the research, you will receive 1 Dynamax mushroom and 25,000 experience points.
Additionally, within the event, you will receive double the amount of experience points for Dynamax battles as well as an increased limit of a maximum of 5,600 Dynamax particles.
The Best Counters Against Gigantamax Kingler
Which Pokémon should I attack with? To deal the maximum damage to Kingler, you should select your attackers for the battle from the following Pokémon. Make sure they know the appropriate Dynamax attack.
To further increase your damage, you can use the item Dynamax mushroom, which has not been very well received in the community.

Which Pokémon should I defend with? Rely on the following Pokémon to absorb attacks and charge your Dynamax meter. Once it’s charged, switch to your attackers to hit Kingler with your Dynamax attacks.
