Who is that? Papaplatte and xQc are two well-known Twitch streamers, both famous for their entertaining content and large communities.
Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller (27) is a German streamer who made a name for himself through his humorous and charming content in the fields of gaming and “Just Chatting”.
On the other hand, xQc, whose real name is Félix Lengyel (27), is a Canadian streamer. Known for his vibrant personality and achievements as a professional esports player, xQc is also a crowd favorite on Twitch.
Just recently, Papaplatte and xQc faced off at the well-known event “r/Place”, where they stood against each other in a “pixel war”. But after an epic battle on the virtual battlefield, they decided to unite their communities and experience unforgettable moments together.

How did Papaplatte prepare for the tournament? On August 7, 2023, there was again a spectacular showdown between the two streamers – this time on the chessboard. Before the tournament, Papaplatte prepared meticulously by playing against an “xQc bot” on chess.com and additionally optimally prepared himself through tutorials and tips from the chat.
The community supported him with encouraging words and the wish to decide the epic battle in his favor again. One user wrote: “We won the pixel war against xQc for you – now you win the chess match for us”.

How did the tournament go? The tournament was extremely exciting. Papaplatte lost the first match but remained motivated to win.
In the second match, there was a brief confusion when xQc’s internet briefly went down. Papaplatte seized the opportunity and caught up to win the match for himself. In an inspiring speech to his chat, he celebrated the belief in success despite the challenges along the way.
With epic sound accompaniment, he told his viewers: “We may not have played well, chat. But we believed until the end! And in the end, no one asks if mistakes were made along the way. In the end, the question is whether you won or not, chat. And we won – Boom”.
In the third round, the two streamers engaged in a neck-and-neck race that ended in a draw.
After the round, Papaplatte wanted to quickly go to the bathroom but did not realize that the next match had already started. He quickly ran back into his streaming room and said: “Holy shit! I had to cut off the piss! Dude, my fly is open now. I definitely just peed in my pants. Dude, I have piss in my boxers right now.”
In the fourth match, xQc prevailed, resulting in Papaplatte emerging as the loser in this tournament. However, despite the competition and the ambitious contest, both streamers showed mutual respect at the end of the stream with a digital handshake and congratulated each other.
The chess tournament between Papaplatte and xQc may be just an entertaining streaming event for some, but it also demonstrated the power of collaboration and respect between the two streamers and their communities.
