What to do when you suddenly have a few hours to spare? Well, why not just go for the platinum trophy by earning all achievements in Elden Ring?! That’s exactly what a popular streamer and YouTuber has done.
Who is it about? The name is programming at JACK FROMSOFT. The Austrian is a big fan of developer legend Hidetaka Miyazaki and the games from FromSoftware. He also plays related soulslikes like Lies of P or Lords of the Fallen extensively.
His YouTube channel now has 80,600 subscribers. On Twitch, there are 34,266 followers. Recently, JACK has been particularly focused on Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and alongside a fun video review, he also streamed his five-part platinum run live. You can find all the videos on YouTube.
Naked on the platinum hunt
Why did JACK bring out Elden Ring again? When the YouTuber had to take an involuntary break during his platinum run in Wuchang, JACK needed a spontaneous substitute. And what could be better to fill that void than Elden Ring, the game that really kickstarted the YouTuber’s channel?!
JACK’s plan: To play from 0 achievements to platinum in a stream (only the main game, no DLC). It should only go offline again once the trophy is achieved. The impressive result at the end of the stream:
- After 10:05 hours of in-game playtime, all 42 achievements were obtained and platinum reached.
- Overall, the stream lasted 11:28 hours.
- This was also due to JACK successfully facing off against Isshin, the Sword Saint from Sekiro, and Ludwig the Accursed from Bloodborne at the end.
- Back to the Elden Ring run: JACK achieved platinum without any unwanted in-game deaths. The “You died” screen only appeared once, when JACK jumped into the abyss after defeating the tutorial boss and ended up in the Cemetery of the Discarded.
- JACK defeated all bosses of the main game, including tough opponents like Malenia and Mohg, without protective gear on the first attempt.

How does the community react to the run? During the stream itself, many viewers could hardly believe how effortlessly JACK was able to play through Elden Ring and defeat bosses like Malenia.

With Nightreign, Elden Ring has received a multiplayer spin-off.
