A first character teaser for Arataki Itto has been published by Genshin Impact. However, the teaser not only shows the popular newcomer but also has a very special surprise for the players: Ayato Kamisato’s voice. Fans are catapulting Ayato directly into the Twitter trends and can hardly believe it.
Who is Ayato Kamisato anyway? Ayato Kamisato is the older brother of Ayaka Kamisato. He is the head of the Kamisato clan, which leads the Yashiro Commission in Inazuma. Ayato takes care of the administrative affairs while his sister, Ayaka, represents the clan to the outside world.
The strong Cryo fighter Ayaka Kamisato has been available in Genshin Impact for a long time and is in our tier list in the S-tier.
Who is Arataki Itto? Itto is a funny fellow with great vanity. Even in battle, he checks whether his hair is well styled. The chaotic character belongs to the Geo element and is an Oni – a kind of demon. Hence, his horns on his head. Arataki Itto is the leader of his own gang.
When can you obtain Itto? The 5-star character Itto will be available on December 14 for 3 weeks in the character event wish. With him, an additional strong Geo support named Gorou will be released. Both will be available around 7 PM in the Gacha banner.

What is funny about it? While the main focus of the teaser should have been on Itto, and he has also thrilled a massive number of fans, a single small sentence from Ayato drew the viewers’ attention. The community flooded Twitter and Reddit with the fact that Ayato could be heard.
When can you hear Ayato Kamisato? Starting at 1:04, the conversation between Thoma and Ayato begins. Thoma is the housekeeper of the Kamisato clan, and he addresses the “unknown” as “my lord,” so one can conclude that it is Ayato Kamisato.
Moreover, the description of the Japanese character teaser includes the name “Ayato Kamisato” and the corresponding voice actor “Akira Ishida” (via YouTube). The English teaser does not contain any information about the voice actor of Ayato.
Fans think Ayato Kamisato is great, even though they know nothing about him
So far, not much is officially known about Ayato. Neither his skills, his element, nor his appearance. Nevertheless, fans were excited about the small sentence that the head of the Kamisato clan uttered – not least because the Japanese voice actor is very popular:
- “I heard Akira Ishida in this teaser. If Ishida is the voice actor for Ayato, he will be a must-pull for me,” noted Enma for herself and already received over 2700 upvotes on the comment (via YouTube)

Speculations about Ayato’s appearance intensify

According to a leaker who already leaked Itto’s appearance correctly, Ayato is said to have white hair and wear a uniform that looks like the marine uniforms from One Piece (via reddit).
Ayato Kamisato also has the same voice actor, Akira Ishida, in Genshin Impact who plays the character Otto in the Japanese version of the game Honkai Impact 3rd.
Due to miHoyo being the developers of Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd and Otto wearing a similar uniform that the leaker described, fans see the possibility that Ayato could indeed look something like that (via reddit).
This would not be the first time Genshin has looked to Honkai Impact for character design: Yae Miko from Genshin Impact looks exactly like Yae Sakura from Honkai. Or, the unknown goddess at the beginning of Genshin not only inherits the appearance of Kiana (Herrscher Form) from Honkai but also has the same voice actress.
