Update from April 3, 2023: There are no new updates or official information regarding the release date of Genshin Impact for Nintendo Switch. HoYoverse seems to continue working on the new game version.
Update from May 6, 2022: miHoYo has announced that they are still actively working on a Switch version: “The Switch version is still in development and we will release more information on it when we are further along (via gonintendo.com).”
On September 28, 2020, Genshin Impact was released on PS4, PC, Android, and iOS. Meanwhile, the update 3.6 for the co-op RPG with gacha system has also been introduced.

What we know about Genshin Impact for Switch
Is there a release date for Genshin Impact for Switch? No. Unfortunately, HoYoverse has remained tight-lipped about this so far.
Is the version still in development? Officially yes. The last previous statement about this can be found on the page jpgames.de. In response to their inquiry, miHoYo revealed that the Switch version is still in development, and more information will follow as soon as it is further along. The article was published on May 6, 2022.
Also, in response to gonintendo.com, the Genshin Impact team confirmed on May 5, 2022, that they are still working on the Nintendo Switch version.
Will there be a beta? An interview with developer Sam Lai indicates that beta tests are apparently planned. When exactly is not known.
Do you have to buy Genshin Impact on Switch? Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game. Therefore, it can be assumed that it will also be free on the Switch.
