What is currently happening in Genshin Impact? The “Distant Stars” event is currently active in Genshin Impact, revolving around meteors. It runs until November 30 and offers a range of rewards that you can exchange for special event currency.
The most important reward of the event is the strong playable character Fischl. You can obtain the archer for free after completing all event quests. But you need to hurry, there isn’t much time left for that.
Get Fischl before it’s too late
How do I unlock Fischl? To obtain Fischl, you must complete all tasks of the “Princess Pact” quest line. This must happen by the end of the event on November 30, or the quest will expire.
Since November 23, all three phases of the event have been available, so you can complete everything in one go. The only prerequisite is that your adventure rank must be at least 20.
You start the quest in Mondstadt at the Adventurers’ Guild. The three parts of the event are:
- Unknown Star
- Star of Deceptive Dreams
- Star of Destiny

What can Fischl actually do? Even though Fischl is “only” a 4-star character, she is a strong support character who enables good elemental combos with other characters. At the same time, she can also deal good personal damage and ranks at the top of the best 4-star characters in our list.
Her element is Electro and she uses a bow as her weapon. According to the developers, Fischl is also the most popular character in Genshin Impact. Normally, the chance of pulling her from the gacha pot is 5.1%.
Is it worth it even if you already have Fischl? Definitely. Even if you have already unlocked Fischl as a character, you can still strengthen her thanks to the event. Instead of Fischl, you will receive her constellation and thus also powerful bonuses.
Other rewards from the event
What else does the event offer? Even if you have no interest in Fischl, you should check out the event. The individual quest steps are rewarded with primogems, and you can collect up to 360 of them in total.
Additionally, you will receive special currencies during the event called “Power of the Waning Stars” and “Essence of the Waning Stars.” You can exchange these currencies at the action merchant for various rewards:
- Materials for character ascension (Wisdom of a Hero)
- Mystical Enhancement Ore
- Materials for talent improvement
