The special program for version 4.5 in Genshin Impact took place today, on March 1, 2024, as a livestream. Players received information about the upcoming banners and the characters they will be able to draw soon. Additionally, a new banner type was introduced.
Today, on March 1, 2024, there was a major livestream in Genshin Impact showcasing the upcoming game content.
The new version 4.5 is titled “Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade”. In German, it is “Wirbelnde Klingen im Brokat”. It will be available in Genshin Impact from March 13, 2024.
In the new version 4.5, players can expect:
- 1 new playable character
- 3 rerun banners
- new banner type
- events
- system optimizations
- and more

These are the new banners in version 4.5 with Chiori
Who is the new character? We first encountered Chiori during the film festival in Fontaine. She is a tailor from Inazuma and the owner of the Chioriya boutique in Fontaine. She will be a 5-star character, has the Geo element, and fights with a one-handed sword.
What banners will there be in version 4.5? As usual, the banners will be split into 2 phases.
In the first phase, the banners for these 5-star characters will run:
- Chiori (Geo and one-handed sword)
- Arataki Itto (Geo and two-handed sword)
In the second phase, these two special banners will follow:
- Kaedehara Kazuha (Anemo and one-handed sword)
- Neuvillette (Hydro and catalyst)

New banner in Genshin Impact: The Collection Prayer
How does the new banner type work? Version 4.5 introduces a new banner type, the so-called “Collection Prayer”.
Through this, you can secure the characters Albedo, Eula, Mona, Klee, Diluc, and Jean, as well as more than ten different 5-star weapons like Wolf’s Gravestone and Hunter’s Path.
To draw this banner, you use intertwined fate. Just like with the special banners, you are guaranteed a 5-star item after a maximum of 90 prayers.
Here, you can also select a course towards the desired character or weapon. This guarantees that the second character/weapon you draw will be the one you want (provided you didn’t already get your favorite on the first try).
What else will there be in version 4.5? Along with Chiori, a corresponding story quest and a hangout event with Lynette will also be added.
The new update also brings new system optimizations that are meant to help the newcomers among you:
Soon, in the Paimon menu, you will find the “Improvement Guide”, which provides tips and aids for character, weapon, and artifact enhancement based on your player level.
In addition, there will be various events where you can secure Primogems and other rewards.
In the large seasonal event “Alchemical Ascension”, you will help Lisa run a store for alchemical potions. In doing so, you can earn the 4-star polearm “Dialogues of the Desert Wise”, as a reward.
Additionally, there will be new TCG cards, including Neuvillette, Charlotte, and Kirara.
