Yesterday, the gamescom 2023 kicked off live with the grand Opening Night Live and showcased many new trailers. In this list, you will find the most viewed trailers on YouTube.
The grand Opening Night Live, which marked the start of this year’s gamescom 2023 on August 22, brought a large number of new trailers. 5 of them stood out particularly and gathered countless views on YouTube overnight.
We have introduced them to you here, starting with the most viewed trailer:
Mortal Kombat 1
Mortal Kombat 1 presents itself at gamescom with a visually remarkable trailer, gathering over 1.8 million views on YouTube overnight.
The game is a reboot of the successful “Beat’em Up” series and will be released on September 19, 2023, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game introduces a new buddy system, allowing you to select a second fighter and use special combos in battle.
Crimson Desert
Crimson Desert, originally announced in December 2021 by “Black Desert” developer Pearl Abyss, claims to have “its own genre,” which sounds like an open-world action-adventure.
The trailer has already received 1.4 million views on YouTube.
The setting of the game recalls the European Middle Ages and Game of Thrones. With the use of swords, bows and arrows, magic, and parkour gameplay, you are offered a lot in the trailer.
The release is announced for the end of 2023.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
With a gameplay trailer, gamescom finally provided us with news about the major story expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. The trailer has already received 470,000 views on YouTube.
The developers show you in three minutes what changes with Phantom Liberty. Some of this is fundamentally not new information, but it shows many new details.
Among other things, you can expect a new district in the expansion, new vehicles – from which you can shoot, a new relic skill tree, and an overhauled police system.
Black Myth: Wukong
The action-adventure provides a glimpse of some of the epic boss fights that await you in the game in the new gameplay trailer. The trailer received over 465,000 views on YouTube overnight.
Black Myth: Wukong draws on rich Chinese folklore and tells the famous story of the Monkey King. Together with a special story and Unreal Engine 5, the game looks very promising.
It is set to be released in 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Starfield
Starfield opened the gamescom Opening Night Live with an atmospheric live-action trailer. It gathered over 340,000 views on YouTube overnight.
The trailer gives you a small impression of the feeling of the single-player RPG Starfield, which promises players a galactic journey through endless freedom and 1,000 explorable planets.
On September 6, 2023, Starfield will have its release and will be available for PC, Steam, and Xbox Series X/S.
The early access to the game starts on September 1, 2023.
